Custom millwork

Before and after subsill fabrication from salvaged heart pine. Made in Syd's now-famous Country Mill Shop. It's currently only famous with three people, but amongst us three, it's important.

At the top of the image, you can see the condition this 1817 building was in when we started. Below, the happy new yellow paint, and one restored window.

Breathing New Life Into Old Homes

Ok, we can't actually take credit for the baby birds in a nest next to our access set up, but we have been diligent to cause no harm to the nest or cute birds.

We've been working on the cornice where we had to replace rotten boards and trim. And make sure we still have our downspouts in place.

We've also been installing shiny new brass sashlocks on windows. Things are coming together (like the sashes).

Sean and Cody are finally taking down some of our access for the cornice work we completed.

Rotten windows!

Ben has his work cut out for him. This window only came with about half the frame intact. He's begun the process of cutting away the rotten components. They will be replaced with fir and antique pine (salvaged from a nearby house that was to be demolished).

The window covered in plywood with its fancy window dressings is rather poignant, don't you think?

The access at Hilary Baker and 3 completely restored windows on the third floor. 

The scaffold at the rear is used by the masons to repoint the chimney. The chimneys were relined for wood fire use.

The basement is truly coming together. We hope to pour the concrete slab next week, which will require a pizza party for us.

405 starts to look like a real house again
