Built-In Gutter Restoration Church Hill

As apart of our Project at 3101 E Broad St., , we had to restore a built-in gutter that was leaky, and generally not well done about 7 years ago.

Here are the before pictures.

After demoing the old gutters, we built the wood framing for the gutter on site and attached it to the roof.

Next was adding the sheathing. It requires precise cuts and measurements to make sure that the plywood fits together at the valley of the gutter.

Making this corner joint is not easy work!

The roof line was not straight because of the house settling over the years (it is over 100 years old) and part of the roof line had rotted because the last time it was worked on, the joints weren't sealed right. We had to put some furring in to make the gutters fit flush against the roof and avoid leaks.

Next was Tar Paper

Now, as soon as Saunder's Roofing puts down the EPDM roof material, we will be complete with this aspect of the job.
