Finally rebuilding at termite central: 2100 E Broad

Excellent masonry work by Gustavo, a mason with Virginia Masonry Restoration. We've even got bonafied foundation bolts in there. New salt treated mudsill, new foundation, and this bug-riddled house is going to be good as new soon.

The access at Hilary Baker and 3 completely restored windows on the third floor. 

The scaffold at the rear is used by the masons to repoint the chimney. The chimneys were relined for wood fire use.

The basement is truly coming together. We hope to pour the concrete slab next week, which will require a pizza party for us.

I'm sorry there haven't been many posts, but the holidays slow things down, and Sofy and Syd went to Guatemala. There wasn't anyone willing to post, so while RBVa kept building, no one documented. I'll try to make up for lost time.

This is a porch in the Fan we're re-building. The rafters are fir, and our crew milled a small double bead in the bottom to match the original design. These rafters will be exposed.
