Reclaimed Flooring Installed, and porch deck replacement: Small jobs for valued, long-time clients.

One thing about our work is once you go RBVA, you never go away! Most of our clients are very satisfied withour work and think of us when they need some repairs done to their home. Even if it is a smaller job, we like to help these folks out.

For example, these clients wanted their porch decking replaced (along with some other jobs, such as reclaimed wood floor install, etc.)

Eek! Rotted joist!

Fixed by sistering with new 2x8s.

Replacing Stile and 2 Panels on a door from the White House of the Confederacy.

The door on the east deck of the White House is not protected by a porch roof. It has taken on some moisture, most notably in the lower section of the door.  We began by removing the rotted stile and panels to make new ones. Van Jester Woodworks fabricated the panels out of heart pine. 

Voila!

The door is primed and ready for paint and re installation.

Making wide fir treads

We should have let van jester woodworks make these treads for us, because they're so good at it, but gina and I knocked it out.
