A million little dutchmen


I like to do dutchmen in the original material, or as close as possible. That way the wood will 'breathe' (expand and contract with moisture) at the same rate. In this case, more antique pine.

White plains porch

Custom columns for an old porch based on drawings from the 1800s and some expert advice from Calder Loth, an architectural historian. The salvaged mahogany handrail is tenoned into the columns.
